The packages of Malaysian Eco-tourism takes you to the vast tropical rainforests in each designated state. Besides the rainforest, native villages, wildlife, plant-life, land-formation and much of the ecology as a whole in those areas will be exposed to your senses.
The Islander as an organizer of personalized and uniquely planned itineraries of various packages, working with licensed and reputable facility and service providers such as hotel-operators, land transport-operators, boat-transport-operators, jungle guides and sight-seeing tour-guides.
Malaysia comprises 14 states namely Penang, Kedah, Perak, Selangor, Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur and Labuan, Pahang, Perlis, Trengganu, Kelantan, Negeri Sembilan, Johore, Malacca, Sarawak and Sabah. Each state has its unique cultures and traditions as well as its eco-tourism attractions.
Terms and conditions of buying any packages will be based on the respective package. This is because the Islander offers packages based on the individual request of each client. It is always different and specially catered, which brings you to our motto: The Islander is Personalized In Every Way. Purchase of any flight tickets, flight arrival and departure schedules are the sole responsibility of the client, The Islander shall not be responsible in this matter. Due to the focus being on high adventure of exploring the wilderness clients are advised to carry as little baggage as possible and wear decent but protective clothes during travel to such places. Ensure medication, insect repellant, sun block, mineral water, biscuits, chocolate, torch-light, rain-coat, first-aid kit, mobile phone with global roaming and jackets are packed into your backpack for the day to day journey. The itinerary will ensure that rest and meal times are properly scheduled. Your accommodation in well managed tourist class hotel, resort or chalet will be booked and paid in advance by The Islander. All land and water-based transport fares shall be paid by you as you journey to those places. A travel-escort for a fee if needed can be considered. Camping gear and guide-fee where necessary will be organized by The Islander and costs included into the package-price.

It is the responsibility of foreign clients' entering Malaysia to ensure that they have valid passports at least SIX (6) months validity from date of travel where necessary.

The Islander focuses into a unique package for Perak, that is the 117,500-hectare Royal Belum Forest and the 152 sq. km. Temenggong Forest Lake, located in one of the world's oldest rainforest. The package involves a Boathouse floating in Temenggong Lake. The journey itself to the lake is scenic and interesting. The Belum forest has been a sanctuary for flora and fauna since 120 million years. Elephants, tigers, black panters, clouded leopards, rhinoceros, tapirs, sun bears, deer, seladang, serows and more than 250 species of birds are known to habitat here. Sarawak displays rich eco-tourism and native cultural attractions. Its biggest festival is “Gawai” , harvest festival, celebtrated by natives and every Sarawakian on June 1st of each year. Places of interests are; the capital city of Kuching which offers you in its vicinity the Semenggoh Wildlife Centre,Jawa Village, Botanical Research Centre, Forest Nursery, Plank-Walk, Bunuk Long House, Annah Rais Long House, Sarawak Museum, visit to Damai where luxurious beach resorts and the Sarawak Cultural Village (various native cultures are witnessed) are located, the Bako National Park which is the oldest and also the nearest to Kuching. Sabah is the northern most tip of the whole of Borneo. The ancient traditions and cultures of more than 30 ethic groups add spectacular experience for any visitor to “the land below the wind”.
The biggest festival celebrated by the natives and all Sabahans is “Keamatan”, it's a harvest festival. Potent rice-wine called “lihiing” or “hiing” is offered to visitors of native long houses. Sabah is surrounded by the South China Sea, Sulu Sea and Celebes Sea. It has an area of 74,500 sq. km. with temperatures 23 to 33 degrees Celsius with cooler weather up in the mountains. The Kadazans and Dusuns make up the majority of the natives while the others are the Bajaus and Muruts. Mount Kinabalu (4,095.2 m) is surrounded in mist and clouds, it is a popular climb to the peak for those who are experienced climbers and inexperienced. The mountains is located within the Kinabalu Park, less than 2 hours drive from Kota Kinabalu which is the capital of Sabah. The park has the Poring Hot Springs which offers a natural health spa in an open-air Japanese-style baths amidst a tropical forest setting.
Cruise the mighty Kinabatangan River where only in Borneo and along this river 10 species of primates is known to be found, further visit the Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabiliation Centre, see the gentle giants in their natural habitat.

responsible for any additional expense or liability sustained or incurred by the client as a result of any of the foregoing clauses. The Islander reserves the right to alter, amend or cancel any of the arrangements contained in the itineraries. To the extent not in conflict with or contrary to any written laws, the aforesaid provision shall supply and except as excluded by any laws in force in those countries the limitations relating to liability and other provisions imposed or implied therein shall apply. The sole and exclusive responsibility and liability in The Islander shall be in accordance with the terms and conditions as stipulated based on the sale of each package. All tour services including but not limited to hotel accommodation, restaurants, guide services and transportation are furnished by contractors that are independent and that do not act for or on behalf of The Islander, are not servants of The Islander, and with whom The Islander does not have any business relationship as a joint venture or otherwise. The passage contract in use by those companies who provide services, shall constitute the sole contract between the companies and the purchasers of these tours and / or package, The Islander reserves the right to change the package price without notice due to currency fluctuation or increase in travel fare.
